Translation bridge
Discovery needs an accountable path into use.
A research result does not become a product merely because it is important. Translation requires ownership, resources, validation, and an explicit destination.
- 01
Reproducible result or demonstration
Define what has been shown, with what evidence, under which conditions, and with which unresolved uncertainties.
- 02
Publication or IP decision
Choose intentionally whether to publish, protect, combine both approaches, or defer while additional evidence is developed.
- 03
Named translation owner
Assign one accountable owner for moving the result from scientific possibility to a testable use case.
- 04
Development and validation budget
Provide the engineering, regulatory, safety, usability, and operational resources required for credible translation.
- 05
Pilot, field, or institutional partner
Test with a partner able to evaluate value, constraints, implementation, and real-world evidence.
- 06
Product, licensing, partnership, or spinout path
Select an explicit route to scale, and/or record why the work should remain research, be published openly, or end.
